Job Summary

This role acts as a Senior Case Administrator, reporting directly to the Band 5 Hub Manager. The job holder will be responsible for checking and compiling various mandated processes within the OMU department's Case Administration team.

The successful candidate will have a proven record of sentence calculation and other Case Administrative functions, with over 12 months of experience in Custody work.

The role involves managing an allocated caseload, ensuring completion of mandatory daily tasks, and holding responsibility for checking and ensuring compliance with Sentence Calculation PSIs.

The ideal candidate will be able to deal effectively and assertively with staff at all levels, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong understanding of administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Organise, produce, and maintain accurate records for the area of work.
  2. Undertake transactional activity associated with the Offender Management function, including processing paperwork ready for checking and onward transmission.
  3. Ensure completion of mandatory daily tasks and allocate tasks fairly within the team.
  4. Hold responsibility for checking and ensuring compliance with Sentence Calculation PSIs.
  5. Act as a SPOC for all communications to the team, prioritising and distributing to the appropriate person or relevant department.
Requirements
  • Practical knowledge and experience in Custody work, including sentence calculation and other Case Administrative functions.
  • Completion of Sentence Calculation training to an Advanced Level.
  • Able to deal effectively and assertively with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of administrative processes.
