About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Performance and Operations Manager to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a key member of our Division of Women's and Children's Services, you will play a crucial role in managing performance and operational activities across the division.
Main Responsibilities
As Assistant Performance and Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Performance and Operations Manager and Divisional Management team to ensure the delivery of efficient services across the Children's Hospital. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing performance and operational activities across the division, including the Children and Young People's Gender Service (South West) and other paediatric medical specialities.
- Contributing to the delivery of challenging performance targets through effective communication and liaison with consultant, clinical and administrative staff.
- Line managing the medical secretaries and clinic coordinators in the CYP Gender Service, providing training and support for the team.
- Managing and maintaining the schedule for outpatient clinic rooms across the Children's hospital and off-site locations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of managing a range of staff and adhering to HR processes.
- Experience of motivating and developing a team.
- Patient/customer-focused experience.
- Experience of managing complaints and incidents to resolve in a timely manner.
- Proven experience of formally training and managing staff performance.
