Job Title: Claims Handler

Job Summary:
Acorn by Synergie is working with a specialist construction company seeking a Claims Handler to manage the claims process, ensuring timely progression and effective communication with customers, clients, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all elements of an insurance claim, ensuring timely progression and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Field incoming and make outbound calls to progress claim status and resolve customer queries.
  • Update records of claims progress and milestones on our dedicated Claims Management System, including conversation notes and electronic files.
  • Manage suppliers to facilitate claim progression and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Collaborate with the field management and diary management teams to successfully book appointments within Service Level Agreements.
  • Update policyholders and insurer clients on the status of key claim milestones, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

  • Experience in claims insurance market or financial sector in a customer service capacity.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ideally have experience in complaint management and resolution in an FCA regulated industry.
  • Ideally have experience in producing and reporting on internal team performance (MI).
