Patient Pathway Coordinator

About the Role
The post holder will work closely with all members of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and associated clerical staff to ensure the timely and planned movement of cancer and suspected cancer patients through their journey from referral onwards.
They will coordinate and monitor the investigation and treatment journey for all patients, ensuring delays are pre-empted and resolved to enable patients to receive treatment in line with national targets.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor patient journeys to ensure timely and planned movement
- Work closely with MDT members and clerical staff to resolve delays and issues
- Ensure patients receive treatment in line with national targets
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
- HND Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years administration experience within a hospital setting
- Proficient in use of software systems
- Advanced keyboard skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Track record of ability to prioritise and problem solve
Contract Details
- Fixed Term or Secondment for 6 months
- Full time, 37 hours per week
Location and Working Pattern
- This role will be based in the Colorectal Cancer Team within University Hospital Wishaw/University Hospital Monklands
- The working pattern for this role is mainly Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet the needs of the service
