Position Overview

As a vital member of a collaborative healthcare team, the individual in this role will be accountable for evaluating patient care requirements and formulating care plans, as well as executing and assessing these plans to ensure the provision of exceptional care to patients.

The individual is expected to perform all necessary care tasks independently. Additionally, they may be called upon to instruct and oversee both registered and unregistered personnel, including nursing students.

Responsibilities may differ based on the specific ward or department and the level of patient care required

Required experience includes a minimum of two years post-registration.

The individual will lead, coordinate, and supervise the activities of other staff members within the ward or department to foster best practices in patient care.

In the absence of the senior charge nurse or team leader, the individual will also assume responsibility for ensuring the smooth operation of the ward and department.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Registration Proven ability to work effectively within a team and independently Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills Capability to collaborate with others as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent time management abilities Familiarity with basic information technology
