Job Description

To provide high-level project management support to the Parking Management Team and Head of Service, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and programmes of work.


The post holder will assist the Parking Management Team in preparing a strategy to effectively analyse the current Parking Services contract, selecting a suitable form of contract to retender the service for best value for money to the Authority.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Parking Management Team with preparation and presentations to Committees and all other types of meetings.
  • Monitoring and managing the associated budget.
  • Interrogating and managing back office softwares deployed by various contractors for management of services.
  • Working in conjunction with contractors, suppliers, and officers across the two boroughs to determine customer needs and preferences.
  • Establishing and developing effective working relationships and productive partnerships with all relevant partners.

The post holder will participate in the delivery of projects and programmes of work in relation to elements of service to improve customer satisfaction and value for money outcomes for the Council.


Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent project management and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
