Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer – Operational Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Construo. As a key member of our Operational Engineering team, you will collaborate with our experts to deliver high-quality services and successful projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice on mechanical and electrical services in existing buildings
  • Lead refurbishment and upgrade projects from start to finish
  • Conduct condition surveys and produce reports
  • Deliver mechanical designs and specifications to meet quality standards
  • Lead mechanical services design on large projects, and overall MEP on smaller projects
  • Manage project teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure technical accuracy

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge in Mechanical Design Engineering
  • Experience in building services, including surveys, site inspections, and commissioning
  • Ability to manage projects through all RIBA stages
  • Consultancy experience, with good client-facing skills
  • Chartered engineer or close to obtaining chartered status
