Job Title: Client Affairs Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Client Affairs Officer to join our Adults' Health and Care team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients, their relatives, carers, and professional support to manage their resources effectively and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Empower clients to make decisions where possible, or make decisions in their best interests with regard to their known beliefs, wishes, and preferences.
  • Manage client resources effectively to meet their needs and improve their quality of life.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, their relatives, carers, and professional support.
  • Have a current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of the state benefits payable by the Department for Work and Pensions, as well as an understanding of eligibility and entitlement.
  • Awareness of the role and purpose of the Court of Protection and Office of the Public Guardian.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong numeracy, budgeting, and IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently, organise your own workload, and manage conflicting demands and competing deadlines in an assured manner.
