Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Selection: Use technical expertise to select and specify materials that meet demanding specifications.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead or support technical troubleshooting to identify and resolve material failures.
  • Technical Initiatives: Contribute to key initiatives such as material compliance, dual sourcing, and parts verification.
  • Design Integration: Collaborate with R&D and design teams to integrate new products into manufacturing processes.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and refine manufacturing processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Bid Support: Assist the project team in developing cost-effective manufacturing strategies.
  • Compliance Implementation: Establish and maintain control measures to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Industry Innovation: Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Person Specification:

  • Educational Foundation: Minimum HNC in a relevant science or engineering field.
  • Technical Experience: Experience in technical manufacturing engineering roles is advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing complex technical issues.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Communication Skills: Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration.
