About the Opportunity

At Jacobs, we're seeking a Structural Integrity Consultant to support our clients in the civil nuclear market. Our team provides expert structural engineering services, including finite element stress analysis, structural integrity analysis, and safety case development. As a Structural Integrity Consultant, you'll work closely with our clients to understand their needs and deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and discuss solutions with colleagues and customers;
  • Represent the business in technical meetings with clients and third parties;
  • Interface with customers throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Produce high-quality technical reports on project outcomes;
  • Design and/or analyze complex structures and components using classical strength of materials and finite element analysis.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer or Scientist in a relevant discipline, educated to degree level in mechanical engineering or a relevant degree;
  • Experience in structural integrity project delivery;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Proficient in structural design codes such as ASME, Eurocodes, and British Standards.
