About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Police Enquiry Officer. As a key member of our community support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to the public, responding to enquiries and incidents, and working closely with other agencies to ensure effective communication and resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide initial response to reported crimes and incidents, and respond to public enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work closely with other agencies, such as partner organizations and emergency services, to ensure effective communication and resolution.
  • Record and document information accurately and efficiently, using various systems and software.
  • Deal with witnesses, victims, and the general public in a supportive and reassuring manner, escalating to other police resources as necessary.
Requirements
  • Proven customer focus approach and excellent communication skills, including experience of dealing with conflict.
  • Ability to work under challenging and difficult circumstances, and to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective team working skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word, and the ability to use multiple bespoke IT systems.
  • Full driving licence, unless prevented by reason of disability.
