About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Police Enquiry Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in our community by providing excellent customer service and supporting victims and witnesses of crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a first point of contact for reported crimes and incidents, responding to enquiries and providing advice and guidance as needed.
  • Deal with a wide range of enquiries from the public and other agencies, offering support and reassurance where necessary.
  • Record and report information accurately and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.

Requirements
  • Proven customer service skills and experience of dealing with conflict.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word, with the ability to use multiple bespoke IT systems.
What to Expect

As a Police Enquiry Officer, you will be based at Exeter City Police Station and will be required to travel to other stations for training and other purposes. You will be expected to work a 20-hour shift pattern, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.

Please note that this role is subject to vetting checks, reference checks, and medical assessment. A formal offer of appointment will not be made until all checks are satisfactorily completed.
