About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to a multi-professional team, working collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, taking into account the bio-psycho-social needs of our patients.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, sharing expertise and knowledge with colleagues.
  • Participate in clinical audit and research, driving service improvement and innovation.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and services, ensuring seamless care pathways for our patients.
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise or be in a position to have a licence to practice on commencement in the post.
  • Experience of working in NHS and CAMHS, with a minimum of 4 years in postgraduate training in the UK or equivalent medical experience.
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty, with excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
  • Able to make decisions based on evidence and experience, including the contribution of others.
  • Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA, with ability to provide clinical leadership to a multi-professional team.
