Job Summary

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT is seeking a highly skilled Acute Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive acute oncology service within the Trust.

Main Responsibilities

Provide early input into the care of patients with complications of chemotherapy, including neutropenic sepsis, and faster and better care of patients with complications of cancer.

Support patients receiving chemotherapy who have an allergic reaction or patients who suffer from extraversion, and educate and train peers and colleagues in relation to AOS issues.

Collect data to demonstrate activity and performance, and actively seek to improve AOS.

Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified nurse with a degree in nursing or a health-related subject, and evidence of continued professional development.

UKONS SACT passport or equivalent is also required.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Advanced communication skills training, psychological support level 2 training, and oncology qualification or experience are desirable.

Leadership development or mentorship qualification is also an advantage.
