We are a leading healthcare provider in west and north Norfolk, North Cambs, and South Lincs, delivering high-quality specialist services to our community.

Our new state-of-the-art hospital will open in 2030, and we are undergoing significant digital transformation with the introduction of an electronic patient record system from 2026.

In this exciting role as Medical Oncology Specialist Lead, you will contribute to the further development of our service, ensuring the continued delivery of exceptional care to patients within our trust.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple sites to provide a comprehensive cancer service for gynaecological and breast patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, reviewing relevant histology and providing clinical leadership in Gynaecology and Breast Oncology.
  • Lead the consultant-led ward service for oncological in-patients and Acute Oncology, contributing to ongoing research projects using available clinical and laboratory facilities.
  • Act as a clinical/educational supervisor to junior staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCP Part 1 and Part 2.
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council.
  • Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) at time of interview.
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in Medical Oncology.
  • Wide experience of prescribing chemotherapy, including E-prescribing.
  • Experience of Acute Oncology.

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive salary package, benefits, and opportunities for career growth in a dynamic and supportive environment.
