Job Title: Teacher of Girls' Physical Education and Health

Job Summary:

Croesyceiliog School, part of Torfaen County Borough Council, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teacher of Girls' Physical Education and Health to join our dedicated team of professionals. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and promoting a positive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physical Education and Health to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, utilizing effective teaching and learning strategies to promote academic excellence and student well-being.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating a range of activities and assessments to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum, ensuring alignment with Curriculum for Wales and promoting a culture of excellence within the faculty.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and expertise, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Contribute to the school's extra-curricular program, promoting physical activity and well-being among students.

Requirements:

  • Good Honours degree in a relevant subject.
  • PGCE or Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of teaching Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Ability to use ICT effectively for teaching and administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a substantial workload effectively and independently.
  • Ability to establish good relationships with staff, governors, parents, and other stakeholders.
