Key Responsibilities

  • Assist group leaders in providing a safe and enjoyable environment for children and young people with disabilities.
  • Encourage children to participate in group activities and develop their intellectual and social skills.
  • Support children with disabilities, including personal care, feeding, moving, and handling needs.
  • Keep the environment safe, organized, and clean.

  • Awareness of safeguarding and follow Achieving for Children's safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Write up reports associated with the day's events.

About You

We are looking for individuals who have an interest and experience in supporting children and young people with disabilities. You should have great communication skills, be a team player, and be able to work after school, weekends, and holiday periods. You should also be friendly, welcoming, and engaging.

Benefits

  • Training: Induction, Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Levels 1-3, and First Aid training.
  • Support services, including access to our counseling service.
  • Refer a friend: When you are working for us, you can refer a friend to our service, and once they have completed the refer-a-friend working period, you can be sent a £50 voucher for a shop of your choice.
  • Flexible working hours: We have times when we need to support our young people, but we can work with you to provide flexible working to fit in around our needs and your availability.
  • Socials: Get-togethers at each center, plus Kingston and Richmond socials.
