About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Records Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and summarising patient medical records, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of clinical information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collate, tidy and accurately summarise incoming patient records
  • Review electronic transfers of medical records and ensure accurate recording and coding
  • Code clinical information onto patient computerised records
  • Deal with queries and questions relating to summarising and/or coding of medical records
  • Perform administrative tasks relating to patient records, including filing, scanning and document management

Person Specification

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage own workload
  • Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
