Economic Crime Advisory Role

Our client, a leading professional services business, is seeking an experienced professional to join their Economic Crime team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of business, industry sectors, and markets, as well as the ability to navigate the complexities of financial crime compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of financial crime compliance engagements across a portfolio of clients, including financial services, betting and gaming, real estate, crypto, and legal sectors.

  • Assist in the development of financial crime systems and controls, including the creation and enhancement of policies and procedures, risk assessments, and training programs.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, including quality assurance of fieldwork and engagement administration.

  • Contribute to the team's financial crime offering and strategic framework through marketing and thought leadership activities.

Requirements

  • Proven consultancy experience in financial crime, fraud, or similar compliance areas.

  • Strong knowledge of financial crime frameworks, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Ability to investigate and resolve problems, with some support and guidance as required.

  • Self-awareness and willingness to request feedback on areas for technical and business skill improvements.

  • Positive approach to quality risk management and a willingness to challenge team working papers and methodologies.
