Financial Crime Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Compliance Specialist to join our team at Compliance Professionals. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our organization's financial crime compliance framework is robust and effective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement financial crime-related frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Support the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in day-to-day activities, including leading the financial crime risk assessment program.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging AML, Sanctions, Fraud, CTF, and other relevant legislation, guidance, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a uniform approach to financial crime compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to business units on financial crime matters, acting as the firm's financial crime subject matter expert.
  • Oversee and assist in review and approvals of new business relationships, transaction monitoring, and investigation of monitoring alerts.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports, including SARs, STORs, and other required documentation.
  • Support the development of the compliance team, building knowledge and enhancing existing working practices.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of financial crime gained from a stockbroking, retail, or wealth management background.
  • Experience with financial crime software/technology to support development, implementation, and effective use of operational systems.
  • Previous experience designing and implementing regulatory frameworks is desirable.
  • Strong execution skills and ability to remain resilient under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
