Main Purpose of Job:

Deliver exceptional housing management services to customers, ensuring operational performance is high and continuously improves. Provide neighbourhood services that meet residents' expectations and offer opportunities for residents to influence service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Estate Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of estates, ensuring they are well-maintained and meet residents' needs.
  2. New Tenant Visits and Tenancy Sign-up: Conduct thorough new tenant visits, verifying tenancy agreements and ensuring a smooth transition for new residents.
  3. Tenancy Verification and Fraud Prevention: Verify tenancy agreements and prevent fraud, ensuring the integrity of the housing management system.
  4. Responsive Maintenance: Request and coordinate responsive maintenance services, ensuring timely resolution of maintenance issues.
  5. Addressing Anti-Social Behaviour: Investigate and address anti-social behaviour incidents, ensuring a safe and respectful living environment for residents.
Financial Responsibilities:

Manage estate management expenditure, support the delivery of the annual housing capital and environmental improvements programme, administer and collect recharges, and support the Rent Recovery section.

Main Accountabilities:
  1. Provide a comprehensive housing management service, dealing with breaches of tenancy/leaseholder agreements, estate management/monitoring, anti-social behaviour, caretaking, and delivery of communal services and tenancy support visits.
  2. Deliver against an agreed improvement plan for the assigned area, in consultation with residents and help deliver the corporate objectives. The plan should reflect the needs of the area, with reference to the profile of residents and the physical characteristics.
  3. Ensure the housing management and environmental services provided to residents are coordinated and of an excellent standard, conforming to relevant statutory requirements and best practice.
  4. Deliver housing services that are inclusive and accessible to vulnerable customers.
  5. Investigate and deal with complaints, incidents of ASB, and harassment, in accordance with Slough policies and procedures.
  6. Identify opportunities for service improvements and make recommendations to the Neighbourhood Lead/Neighbourhood Manager. Ensure changes are introduced and implemented effectively and efficiently in the area.
  7. Support inclusive and effective customer involvement opportunities in the area, linked to the national customer influencing strategy.
  8. Ensure residents have the opportunity to influence and shape policies, service delivery, standards, and scrutinise performance.
  9. Support Slough strategy in the local area and contribute to wider improvement projects, as requested by the Neighbourhood Lead and Neighbourhood Manager.
  10. Ensure compliance with, and promotion of Slough Health & Safety Management and policies, and ensure housing management equality and diversity services embrace this.
  11. Monitor budgets for which you are responsible, within timescales, and ensure expenditure is in accordance with budget, procedures, and levels of delegated authority and audit requirements. Take action when discrepancies occur.
  12. Participate in the delivery of an out-of-hours service, undertake temporary relief emergency cover, including participation in the emergency plan, attend meetings, participate in working groups, and any other duties commensurate with the level of the post.
  13. Maintain the highest standards of personal and professional behaviour, in keeping with the profile of the role, inside and outside the organisation.
