Plant Operations Manager

Our client, a leading global organisation in the Manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join their team in Kings Lynn. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency of the business and driving improvements in productivity, cost, quality, and output.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the entire plant product manufacturing operation, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement innovative working practices, leveraging modern manufacturing philosophies, techniques, and systems to optimise productivity, cost, quality, and output.
- Collaborate with other departments to create efficiencies in quality and delivery, and develop a strong, positive team within the manufacturing function.
- Ensure due diligence when handling personally identifiable information, adhering to current data protection regulations.
- Recruit and train high-performing team members to drive business success.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the factory unit, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain a production plan that meets sales orders, key stock levels, productivity performance targets, and quality performance targets.
- Monitor and review the production plan to maintain or improve lead times.
- Ensure production and cost efficiencies are monitored and controlled, with a focus on reducing costs where possible.
- Optimise the Company's Stock replenishment/Kanban system to reflect current production capabilities and promote efficient purchasing and inventory management.
- Review and recommend cost reduction and production efficiency improvements, implementing changes as necessary.
- Develop and maintain both quality and health and safety systems, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar position. You will have a proven track record in volume and small batch production in semi-automated and manual environments.
Our client offers a competitive salary and a generous benefits package, including 25 days' holiday. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7am-7pm.
