NHS Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Registered General Nurse to fill the position of Nurse Specialist - Colorectal Surgery at our esteemed institution. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of innovative care pathways.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in Colorectal Surgery and will be responsible for providing specialist clinical advice, teaching, and training to healthcare professionals. They will also work closely with the Colorectal Cancer CNS team to develop and implement Personalised Care and Support Planning (PCSP) for cancer patients referred to the service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist clinical advice, teaching, and training to healthcare professionals
  • Work closely with the Colorectal Cancer CNS team to develop and implement PCSP for cancer patients referred to the service
  • Maintain accurate patient records by collecting, collating, recording, evaluating, and reporting information under the supervision of the CNS
  • Attend MDT meetings as required and actively contribute to discussion, decision-making, and care planning for individual patients planned for surgical intervention

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse with experience working within Colorectal Surgery
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in related speciality

Estimated Salary: £42,000 - £55,000 per annum
