About the Role

The National Archives is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and managing a range of marketing activities and projects to support our business plan and marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote events and other cultural programming
  • Commission and manage suppliers, working to budget and setting and meeting targets
  • Write engaging copy for various marketing materials, including social media, email, and print
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to shape, present, and promote engaging events for public and research audiences
  • Maintain relationships with external partners, organisations, and suppliers, including managing external agencies and designers
  • Support the retail team with seasonal and timely campaigns
  • Design and develop a range of digital and print campaigns to support a diverse and variable portfolio of projects

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience of developing and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Commercially aware, with experience of commissioning and managing suppliers
  • Excellent written English, with versatile copy editing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills, with experience of working in and leading project teams
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work flexibly and think creatively
