We are seeking an experienced Information Development Manager to lead our Digital Services Team and play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our cultural development initiatives.

Job Description:

This is a permanent, full-time position based at County Hall, Preston, with opportunities to work flexibly from home. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing customer-facing digital services, working with internal and external partners, and developing strategies to drive business growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, delivery, and promotion of digital services across our cultural services portfolio, including libraries, museums, and archives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital strategies to support cultural development initiatives
  • Lead the Digital Services Team in delivering high-quality digital services to our communities
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain digital services that meet user needs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform digital service design and delivery
  • Collaborate with external partners to identify opportunities for digital collaboration and innovation

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management, Library Studies)
  • Professional qualification in management or digital services (e.g., NVQ level 3, CILIP Chartership)
  • Proven experience in managing customer-facing digital services and teams
  • Strong understanding of national issues related to digital services and cultural development
  • Excellent communication, customer care, and negotiation skills
