Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential care settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting daily routines, including personal hygiene, meals, and activities
  • Developing life skills and promoting independence
  • Attending medical and other appointments
  • Completing daily paperwork and budgeting requirements
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of care plans
Requirements:
  • Flexibility in availability, including sleep-in nights and shift work
  • Understanding of the issues facing young people in care
  • Hold a relevant qualification, such as a Residential Childcare Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a small team
  • Willingness to undertake a DBS check at enhanced level
Benefits:
