Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential care settings.

About the Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing daily care and support to young people, including:

  • Supporting daily routines, such as personal hygiene, meals, and activities
  • Encouraging independence and socialization
  • Attending medical and other appointments
  • Supporting the development of life skills and promoting emotional well-being
  • Completing daily paperwork and handover documents

You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest standards of care and support are maintained at all times.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Flexibility in your availability, including sleep-in nights and shift work
  • An understanding of the issues that face young people in care
  • A relevant qualification in Residential Childcare or a related field (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a small team
  • Willingness to undertake a DBS check at enhanced level

Experience working with young people with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work would be advantageous.
