About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pastoral care professional to join our team as an Assistant Head of Year. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- To work under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher – Pastoral Lead and Year Leaders to implement interventions and support to remove barriers to learning, working with individual or small groups of pupils in order to support pupil progress, particularly with pupils who have poor attendance, behaviour or SEND concerns.
- To develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure that we provide the best possible support for our students.
Requirements
- Experience of working with children in an educational setting in particular meeting the needs of children who may face barriers to learning.
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality pastoral care and support to students. They will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs of our students and develop effective strategies to meet those needs.
