Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Artist to join our team at Entain's In-House Studios. As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in elevating our gaming experiences by seamlessly blending art and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Integration
    • Work closely with Artists, Game Designers, and Developers to integrate art assets into the game engine, ensuring optimal performance and visual fidelity.
  • Animation and Visual Effects
    • Use your expertise in rigging and FK/IK techniques to create dynamic character animations, environment effects, and user interface animations that enhance gameplay immersion.
  • Pipeline Development and Optimization
    • Develop and maintain efficient pipelines for importing, exporting, and optimizing art assets within the game engine, maximizing productivity and workflow efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and Research
    • Troubleshoot technical issues related to art asset implementation and animation performance, providing timely solutions to ensure project milestones are met.
    • Conduct research and experimentation with new techniques and tools in game animation and technical art, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Team Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement animation standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.
    • Provide guidance and support to other studio artists and team members on technical aspects of asset creation and animation implementation, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Design and Development Meetings
    • Actively participate in design and development meetings, offering insights and recommendations to enhance the overall visual quality and performance of our games.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in the gaming industry, with a focus on technical art and animation
  • Proficiency in animation techniques such as rigging and FK/IK, with the ability to apply these skills across various animation software packages
  • Solid understanding of game engines and their integration processes, including shader development, scripting, and optimization techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical team members
