JOB DESCRIPTION:

Location: Hale, Cheshire
Position: Part-Time, Permanent
Hours: Between 16 - 32 hours per week, variable shifts including some weekends
Salary: Competitive, reflecting your skills and experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lifeguard to join us at Hale Country Club & Spa on a part-time basis, working 16 hours (2 shifts) per week.
As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for supervising swimming activities at the aquatic centre and ensuring that safety procedures, guidelines, and policies are followed.
Key Responsibilities:

  2. Supervising swimming activities at the aquatic centre and ensuring that safety procedures, guidelines, and policies are followed.
  3. Warning of unsafe activities and enforcing water safety policies and pool regulations.
  4. Inspecting pool equipment, facilities, and water to ensure they are usable and safe.
  5. Supervising and assisting in cleaning equipment and facilities.
  6. Opening and closing the pool each day, depending on schedule and hours.
  7. Instructing or assisting classes in the fundamentals of swimming.
  8. Resolving scheduling conflicts to ensure the pool environment is safe for competitions.
  9. Advanced swimming abilities.
  10. National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) awarded by the Royal Life Saving Society.
  11. Evidence of continued self-development within fitness.
  12. Flexible in your approach to a working environment and ability to work on a rota.
  13. An interest in swimming and leisure facilities.
