Support Specialist for Adults with Autism

**Job Summary:**
Creative Support Ltd is a passionate, inclusive, and anti-racist organization that provides specialist person-centred support to adults with Autistic Spectrum conditions and additional learning disabilities and mental health support needs.
We are seeking a highly motivated and hardworking individual to join our friendly team as a Support Specialist for Adults with Autism. As a key member of our team, you will provide person-centred care and support to tenants, enabling them to take part in all aspects of everyday life and enjoy a wide range of activities.
The successful candidate will have skills in positive communication and engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will work in a flexible manner on a rota which includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, and receive enhanced payments for sleep-in shifts supplementary to basic salary.
About the Role:
- Provide person-centred support to adults with Autistic Spectrum conditions and additional learning disabilities and mental health support needs.
- Work collaboratively with service users, families and other professionals to develop and implement person-centred support plans.
- Participate in regular supervision and training to enhance your understanding of autism and autism support provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support service users with personal care and domestic tasks, as well as social engagement and community activities.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, families and other professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of person-centred support plans.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with adults with Autistic Spectrum conditions and additional learning disabilities and mental health support needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work flexibly and as part of a close-knit team.
