Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our established leadership team as a Senior Nurse Practitioner. This exciting opportunity will enable you to support, lead, and direct the clinical care and operation within an Acute Inpatient ward.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centered and trauma-informed care within the defined inpatient area.
  • Undertake comprehensive physical and mental health assessments, manage a complex cohort of service users, provide advice, support, and deliver high-quality interventions.
  • Develop and deliver safe and effective services in accordance with key evidence-based care, relevant accreditation schemes, national targets, clinical standards, service priorities, and performance indicators.
  • Work in partnership with commissioners, regional service colleagues, and other partner agencies to provide inpatient services that achieve the best possible outcomes for service users.
  • Provide clinical leadership and act as an expert resource and role model for the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with proven experience of clinical leadership.
  • Specialist knowledge of Mental Health inpatient care specific to the area working in (acute, older adults, rehabilitation, and forensic services).
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, national legal frameworks, Safeguarding Adults and Children policies and procedures, Clinical Governance, and Infection Prevention and Control Procedures.
