Desktop Support Specialist

Job Summary:
Squarepoint Capital is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to a global community of approximately 500 users in a Windows environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24x5 support on-site and remotely to users with workstation applications, access control policies, and hardware issues.
- Manage raised requests and incidents in a timely manner following internal request runbooks and incident management processes.
- Partner with internal and external teams to troubleshoot complex incidents and develop strategic solutions.
- Proactively automate common tasks to improve efficiency and increase productivity.
Requirements:
- Detailed knowledge and experience in a Microsoft environment supporting Windows 10, Windows Server 2012+, Office Suite, and Azure.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, remote access solutions, and software deployment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities and frequent interruptions.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Powershell and Python experience.
- Network experience.
- Linux environment experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
The minimum base salary for this role is $80,000 if located in New York. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions.
