About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Internal Sales Liaison to join our team at Opal Contracting Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for building key relationships to ensure loyalty, return business, and sustained trading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high level of customer service to maintain our best-in-class position.
- Evaluate enquiries via telephone, produce quotations, and follow up on quotations to gain commercial feedback.
- Maximise all enquiries/opportunities and apply added value through product and service differentiation.
- Develop trading customers and repeat business, and escalate potential opportunities for new/repeat/contractual business.
- Undertake proactive customer telephone calls to create opportunities and orders.
- Ensure maintenance of individual customer plans, development platforms, and CRM files.
- Overcome objections to achieve individual and shared KPIs and sales targets.
- Grow profitability, control costs, and maximise efficiency for allocated transactional accounts.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a steel stock holding/manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a customer-centric role within a sales office environment.
- Experience of engaging with customers, either face-to-face or telephone.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with KPIs/targets to achieve.
- Sound knowledge of sales processes, especially quote creation.
- Committed to meeting customer needs and having a sound understanding of GDPR.
