Operations Director

Kopek Security and Facilities Ltd is a leading provider of security services, committed to delivering exceptional results to our clients. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team, responsible for ensuring the effective management of our operational functions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage customer relationships, prioritizing exceptional customer service.
- Oversee the performance of Security Service colleagues, ensuring adherence to Assignment Instructions.
- Lead and develop the allocated security teams, including Dog Handlers, Security Guards, Duty Supervisors, and Schedulers.
- Act as Escalation 1 for weekends, providing critical support to the team.
- Implement effective controls and monitor processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Exercise command and control, ensuring seamless operations.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including peer groups and management levels.
- Participate in site investigations, reporting findings and recommendations.
- Tailor security solutions for clients, driving business growth through upselling and new B2B sales.
- Conduct quality risk assessments, drafting mitigating security actions and solutions.
- Uphold existing and implement new company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, interventions, and outcomes.
- Stay informed about current security trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on security procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Coordinate and communicate between support departments, including Accounts, Compliance, HR, and Training.
- SIA Licence (frontline) - essential.
- Full Drivers licence (manual) – essential.
- ISOH Course (Managing Safely) - desirable.
- IOSH Leading Safely – desirable.
- Management and leadership experience within the Security Industry – essential.
- Previous experience as an Operations Manager within the Security Industry – desirable.
- Knowledge of the Security Industry, including operational and client requirements – Essential.
- Event Management - Essential.
- Sound knowledge of security pricing - desirable.
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills - desirable.
- Possess strong leadership qualities and excel at coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve common security objectives - essential.
- Proven record of staff management and development - essential.
- Attention to detail to proactive approach to implement effective mitigation strategies - essential.
- Excellent communication skills - essential.
- Committed to ensuring the wellbeing of all our employees - essential.
- Fully conversed with writing Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments for new and existing clients - essential.
Salary: up to £36,000 pro rata for the best candidate. As part of the role, there will be a requirement to cover the out of hours escalation on a rotating basis, paid additional to the salary agreed at the agreed rate.
Working pattern: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday – 40 contracted hours, inclusive of a 30-minute unpaid break. Start and finish times to reflect the needs of the role, with primary focus on Saturday and Sunday.
