Why be an Ecommerce Trading Specialist at THG?

The Ecommerce Trading Specialist will report into the Senior eCommerce Manager and be responsible for executing the country trading plans, overseeing the day-to-day operation and optimization of the sites to ensure a seamless customer journey. Working with industry experts, you'll be part of a dynamic team striving for ambitious growth across our EU territories.

As an Ecommerce Trading Specialist, you'll:

  • Support the Senior Ecommerce Manager in planning, executing, and optimizing the regional ecommerce strategy.
  • Work closely with the CRM team to plan, translate, and execute CRM campaigns and daily activations.
  • Collaborate with buying, merchandising, and marketing to ensure optimum execution of the trading calendar for the Dutch sites.
  • Be responsible for the management and optimization of key site KPIs, such as Revenue, Profit, Traffic, Conversion, Average Order Value, and bounce rate, driving continuous site improvements to reduce barriers to purchase.
  • Use analytics and our in-house reporting platform to gain a strong understanding of the customer journey to optimize sales, measure performance, and define strategy.
  • Provide regular reporting of performance metrics to inform suggested actions to improve performance.
  • Track relevant competitor activity to provide constant context on market positioning, informing the trading calendar and strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with peers, leveraging their previous experience by acting as a role model and mentor for more junior executives.

What Skills and Experience Do I Need?

  • Language skills; native Dutch and fluency in English.
  • Strong understanding of the Dutch Beauty market.
  • 1+ year of ecommerce trading experience either through work experience, placement, or internship.
  • Strong command of relevant tools and software, e.g., Microsoft office suite (with minimum intermediate Excel skills) and Google Analytics.
  • SQL advantageous.
