Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a school that values inclusive education. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in schools, with an understanding of the daily challenges and rewards of working in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting children with special educational needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, both in and out of the classroom.

• Assisting with academic tasks and adapting materials to ensure they are accessible for all students.

• Providing emotional and behavioral support, promoting independence and social inclusion.

• Working with teachers and other school staff to create a nurturing and supportive environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in schools, with an understanding of the daily challenges and rewards of working in an educational setting.

• Specific experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), with knowledge of their unique needs and effective strategies to help them succeed in the classroom.

• Experience working with children with complex needs, demonstrating a strong understanding of how to support their learning, emotional, and behavioral development.

• A proactive and adaptable approach, able to handle situations calmly and think on your feet.
