Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Support Specialist to join our team at Care New England Health System. As a member of our Environmental Services department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment throughout all hospital departments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain patient rooms, ensuring all areas on the Nursing Unit are well-maintained, including bed-making support and disposal of needle boxes.
  • Transport patients and equipment within the hospital, assisting with discharging and transporting patients as needed.
  • Deliver laboratory specimens, x-rays, lab reports, and other miscellaneous items necessary to support the nursing unit.
  • Manage inventory and prepare orders for non-par stock items on the Nursing Unit.
  • Train new employees in day-to-day procedures and enforce hospital policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The estimated salary for this position is around $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
