The Consultant-Depositary Fund Oversight role is a key position within the UK Depositary team, responsible for ongoing oversight of Alternative Fund Managers (AFMs) and their funds, including risk management and lifecycle activities.


The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of fund products, operating structures, and investment strategies, as well as knowledge of FCA regulations and Depositary responsibilities.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Monitoring regulatory and fund-specific requirements for AFMs, ensuring effective compliance monitoring and delivery of compliance monitoring plans.
  • Qualitative asset eligibility assessments and risk-related analysis, including liquidity monitoring and fair value pricing.
  • Assistance with Depositary risk management framework developments and Fund Oversight reviews of scheme launch and change events.
  • Maintaining external and internal relationships, including offshore locations, AFM equivalents, senior managers, and key contacts.
  • Supporting Depositary due diligence visits and producing associated reports.
  • Developing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for offshore locations and presenting Management Information (MI) on an ongoing basis.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and relationship management skills, be efficient in MS Office tools, and have a strong understanding of financial services and regulatory requirements.
