About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people living with terminal illness, as a Companion Service Coordinator for Marie Curie. The role involves working closely with care home managers and staff to ensure the successful delivery of our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raise awareness and knowledge of the Companion Service among care home managers and staff.
  • Ensure that care home managers have a good understanding of the service, what we can do to support their residents, and a point of contact.
  • Increase our number of trained Companion Volunteers and ensure that they are supported in their role.
  • Demonstrate Marie Curie Values; Always Compassionate, Making Things Happen, Leading in Our Field, and People at Our Heart.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and establish trust.

The estimated salary for this role is £18-22 per hour. We offer an excellent opportunity to build on your skills in a charity environment, working with a passionate and committed team of staff and volunteers.
