Private Markets Portfolio Manager

Border To Coast Pensions Partnership is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead the development and implementation of the new UK Opportunities portfolio. This innovative investment proposition aims to have a material positive impact on new investment across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain extensive due diligence reports to support investment decision making and portfolio construction.
- Evaluate new investment opportunities and manage a portfolio/sub-fund.
- Execute investment transactions and regularly review the performance, attribution, exposure, and risk metrics of the sub-fund/portfolio.
- Participate in investment team meetings and liaise with the research and risk team to ensure an integrated investment approach.
- Provide feedback on the quality, depth, and focus of research.
- Contribute to the training of junior team members.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in private market due diligence, including reviewing investment, operational, and ESG factors. They will also demonstrate investment decision-making and portfolio and risk management experience. With a keen interest in and understanding of investment markets, long-term investment, and a commitment to responsible investment and sustainability, the successful candidate will have experience of using investment management software, problem-solving and decision-making capability, and strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
