Job Title: Programme Director for Transportation Network Improvement

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Programme Director to join our Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team in the UK. As a key member of our Middle Miles Nodes Programs (MMNP), you will drive productivity and cost-reduction initiatives across the network.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and experience in project management or management consulting. You will work closely with various transportation and finance teams to identify best practices, lead cost improvement efforts, and develop strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic relationships with business partners to influence decision-making
  • Build strong partnerships with senior leaders to monitor project progress and identify risks
  • Establish and prioritize improvement programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Manage the organization's portfolio of projects, maintaining a centralized repository for future reference
  • Engage with other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end-to-end outcomes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field
  • Relevant experience in project management or management consulting, including handling multiple ongoing projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL for data analysis
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience
