Job Title and Responsibilities: As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborating with subject lecturers and assessors to develop tailored support plans for students.
  2. Providing one-to-one support to students in various learning environments, including classrooms and off-site settings.
  3. Assisting students in accessing curricula by adapting resources and providing note-taking or word processing support.
  4. Maintaining accurate records of student progress, attendance, and support activities using the Pro-monitor system.
  5. Supporting therapy interventions such as Physiotherapy or Speech and Language Therapy under professional guidance.

Requirements and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Recent experience supporting individuals with special educational needs.
  • Computer literacy and ability to adapt to various digital learning tools.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
