We are seeking an experienced Craft Experience Facilitator to join our team at Volunteering Waikato.

About Our Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to foster creativity and skill-building in people with disabilities through inclusive community programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging craft experiences that cater to diverse abilities and interests.
  • Collaborate with volunteers and staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to participants, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with experience working with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing participant needs.
  • Basic knowledge of craft activities and materials, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
Working Arrangements:

Monday: 2 hours (optional) - Training and preparation

Friday: 3 hours - Delivering craft experiences
