St Monica Trust is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Support Worker to join our team. This role will involve delivering a comprehensive care and support service to our residents, ensuring their independence, dignity, and well-being at all times.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care and hygiene support, including assistance with food, bathing, and toileting.
- Encouraging and facilitating residents' interests and meaningful activities.
- Assisting with resident health and well-being, including nutrition, medication, mobility, shopping, and health appointments.
- Formulating, reviewing, and maintaining resident care plans and paperwork.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.
- Undertaking housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Understanding of the needs of older people, including dementia and complex care needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good level of IT skills, including Microsoft packages.
- Care certificate or willingness to work towards Care Certificate.
