Quality Assurance Manager

Fusion People Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the quality and safety of work on construction sites.
- Attend onsite meetings and provide technical insights specific to building and construction.
- Conduct regular site inspections and document findings.
- Ensure that construction plans and specifications are followed correctly.
- Ensure all technical documents relative to site quality control/inspections are current and uploaded for future audits.
- Measuring and quality checking building materials.
- Identifying defects and suggesting ways to correct them.
- Monitoring progress and reporting to construction managers, designers, and clients.
- Keeping detailed records of work.
- Referring to plans and taking photographs of work, along with measurements and samples.
- Liaising with contractors, engineers, and surveyors.
- Checking that building regulations, health and safety, legal and ecological requirements are met.
- Working between an office and construction sites.
- Assist and support in the new BMS rollout with the Quality Assurance Managers across the business.
- Coach and mentor site teams on quality control.
- Share lessons learnt across regions to drive future training initiatives and ensure continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in quality and inspections in projects of a similar size and complexity.
- Substantial understanding of building and construction projects.
- Exemplary attention to detail with a strong focus on health and safety standards.
- Ability to liaise effectively with contractors, engineers, and the management team.
- A proactive approach to solving problems and meeting project standards.
- Must be customer focused by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating, and meeting their needs.
- Able to use your initiative and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Analytical thinking skills.
- Able to analyse quality or performance.
- Able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device.
- Relevant CSCS card and SMSTS essential.
- Preference for membership of a professional Institute i.e. Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI).
