Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and supportive individual to join our team as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a pupil with Additional Learning Needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to provide essential care and support to help your pupil grow and develop. Your role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with the pupil in the mainstream classroom, engaging with them in every task, and fostering a positive and encouraging environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the pupil with Additional Learning Needs
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support the pupil in developing their social and emotional skills
Requirements:
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council
  • Hold a Child only DBS certificate
  • Provide 2 professional references
  • Strong and resilient when facing challenging behaviour
