About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our education team at Aspris College. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young adults with their educational needs and promoting a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist young adults with their work and provide individualized support to meet their learning needs
  • Support pupil behavior and establish positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement effective educational plans
  • Provide administrative support to the education team, including maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting young people with learning needs
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Resilience and patience when working with students who may present challenging behaviors
