Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Edwards Vacuum, LLC. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance activities, including installation and commissioning of Edwards products, in accordance with global standards and customer expectations.
  • Provide front-line support for key field service activities at OEM sites and customer locations, focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct basic faultfinding and troubleshooting to resolve or escalate issues within agreed contractual timeframes, meeting customer expectations.
  • Ensure all field service activities comply with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, meeting organizational, safety, and health obligations.
  • Provide detailed and accurate feedback on activities and compile clear, concise reports for submission to the line manager and/or technical support.
  • Undertake routine stock audits and take responsibility for ordering and booking of spares for site stock.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain software products and monitoring platforms.
  • Use Edwards processes and operating platforms to accurately capture service-related information, from creation of field service notifications and orders to completion.
Requirements:
  • Ability to share technical expertise and knowledge, providing coaching to less experienced team members.
  • Collaborate and support team members to deliver company objectives.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, policies, and standards to ensure organizational, safety, and health obligations are met.
  • Able to use computer software to record data and write reports.
  • Previous field service experience in a relevant or related industry, ideally customer-facing.
  • Pro-active and able to work independently while reporting remotely to the Operations Manager.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and workshops/offices within the CC territory as required.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, comfortable using SAP platforms with a desire and aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Valid driver's license.
