Job Overview

eNL Legal Recruitment is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of a successful law firm in Bedfordshire. This role involves managing the finance department, reception staff, and providing advice on regulatory compliance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will handle a diverse workload, including day-to-day and annual responsibility for the firm's accounts, as well as organizing insurance, accreditations, and practising certificate renewals. They will also attend Board meetings and negotiate with third-party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the finance department and reception staff
  • Provide advice on regulatory compliance, including SRA, AML, and SARs
  • Organize the firm's insurance, accreditations, and practising certificate renewals
  • Negotiate with third-party suppliers
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a commanding knowledge of the Solicitor Accounts Rules and an overview of the general obligations of the SRA Handbook. The ideal candidate will also have experience with COFA and COLP duties and responsibilities, GAAP, and accrual accounting.

A strong understanding of IT systems and case management software is essential, particularly P4W. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required.
